Presentation Category:
Perkins Policy and Programs
Session Type:
CA Career Pathways Session
Presentation Description:
This presentation will inform participants where CTE, CCSS, and Linked Learning each meet to ensure that Title I schools are engaging students. We will showcase best practices from Title I schools using problem- and project-based learning and integrated academics. Participants will be able to explore how this looks in the classroom and walk away with effective and innovative instructional practices and proven prevention and intervention strategies to close the achievement gap. After a general overview and presentation on problem- and project-based learning and integrated academics in Title I schools, participants will be actively engaged in small group discussions to gain practical tips to the use of problem- and project-based lessons and integrated academics within their school and classroom.
