Traditional health education focuses on individual behavior choices. In contrast, this innovative, 10-lesson curriculum utilizes classroom-based activities and community-based projects to 1) teach students how one’s surroundings affect health, and 2) empower students to address the goods, services, resources, and policies in their community in order to improve their community’s health.
