Literacy is a key component to success in academics and in any career choice. With the landmark move in the Common Core State Standards to integrate literacy across the curriculum, we have each been called on as teachers of reading and writing. This presentation will address research regarding literacy strategies and will provide immediately usable tools to help close the achievement gap immediately in a single classroom, an academy, and schoolwide.
