Connecting CTE Courses and Labor Market Information

Presentation Category:
Perkins Policy and Programs
Session Type:
CA Career Pathways Session
Presentation Description:
Perkins IV requires that CTE Programs focus on current or emerging high skill, high wage or high demand occupations. Most of this information can be found through the California Employment Development Department - but where to start? There is so much job data out there - how do you find job projections and industry data for your area? Your pathway? This presentation will cover how you can meet Perkins occupational requirements, where to find local data (current and projected), and what reports are the best to use. The presentation will also cover how E1 & E2 reporting will change as a result of updates to CTE standards, frameworks, and course codes.
