This highly interactive presentation will train teachers in how to facilitate work-based/project-based learning as originally designed at Brandeis University when the DOL and DOE created and released the “SCANS Report for America 200 – What Work Requires of Schools”. Using a SCANS-based methodology, teachers and students work together to ensure students’ mastery in the “soft” skills and competencies necessary in all careers and workplaces. Participants will leave with the knowledge and skills to integrate this methodology into all class projects, regardless of content area.
