In this seminar participants will construct an anemometer out of materials readily available to any classroom. This project is part of our junior level Pre-Engineering Technology class at El Camino Fundamental High School. It provides an opportunity for students to work as a team, perform internet research, problem solve, derive a mathematical formula, collect and record data, conduct an in depth process analysis, produce a working mechanical device, explore the physical forces of friction and drag, and have fun.
